Other than listening, a break form the new LP on another dreich (good Scottish word) day...
Home tonight to the delightful aroma of Annie concocting a casserole...
This was left slow cooking as we made our way to the hospital...
While Pam had been quite bright on Sunday when I visited with my mum, last night sister Sheila had called to say she was terrible...
This evening, as Anne and I were going in we happened to bump into Pam's doctor in the car park and he advised Pam had had another couple of seizures on Monday which had knocked her for six - hence the bad impression for Sheila...
So, her medication has been changed slightly and, tonight, she was much better (relatively of course)...
She managed quite a few words, advising me of her chum Debbie's surname "Aldridge" and, at one point, in exasperation at something or other, uttering "Dear God"...
Perhaps at the presence of The Beast at her bedside...
Pam cannot respond to questions as she can't really speak (due to the position of the tumour) but she can understand everything we say and jokes and comedy chat are much appreciated and rewarded with laughs and smiles...
Occasionally she loses concentration and drifts off to who knows where - or if there are other visitors on the ward she will tune into their conversations...
She managed a wave though as we left...
Back home, the casserole was very tasty indeed...
Thursday night's visit to Pam was due to be my sister Sheila and my mum but, on calling Sheila this evening to give her an update after last night's negative experience, I was advised she was in A&E at the Royal Infirmary, having ripped several muscles in her shoulder earleier today...
Jeez-oh...
On TV "Curb Your Enthusiasm" was enjoyed before I was to be found snoring on the settee - still waking unfeasibly early in the mornings and unable to return to sleep...
Highlight of the Day : Anne's casserole...
