Finished off the upload of "Callingstill" today, meaning that all eight CBQ song-based albums are now housed on their own sites with players, 10 CDs in all (since "Callingstill" is a 3CD set)...
Some tweaking and button adding prior to mailing the mailing list in a couple of weeks re the launch of "Splinterheart"...
Of course, for readers of this, the links are already up - over to the right...
Today, I was soundtracked by the, in the main, surprisingly good proggish sounds of Argent (in an English way)...
...and Kansas (in an American mid-West way)...
I enjoyed this foray into the early catalogues of these hitherto not-much-attention-paid-to-by-me bands...
Of course Argent's "Hold Your Head Up" was actually one of the first singles I ever bought - I remember buying it on the same day as Lindisfarne's "Meet Me on the Corner"...
Pasta for tea whilst enjoying last night's "Big Bang Theory" then working and surfing...
Later on "My Family", "Old Guys", "The IT Crowd" and "Stand Up for the Week" entertained in a comedy fashion...
Last thing, scanned through to the end of our recording of Jonathon Ross's last show for the BBC (his leaving is zero loss, in fact a considerable gain for the Beeb) to see the reformed Roxy Music zip through "Virginia Plan" and "Love is the Drug" - great stuff...
Highlight of the Day : Roxy back together (again)...

Hey Mr.CBQ - love the new look here. Great stuff. You must tell me the name of your decorators (or at least the template you've used.)
I have that same argent collection. The couple of albums they did after this period are really worth checking out. After Russ Ballard left they moved into a more jazz-rock / proggy direction which really culminated in good albums such as Circus and Counterpoints. Always thought John Grimaldi was underrated.
Hi Sid
Glad you like the new look - hopefully the music player started for you too...
The template is the "simple" one - to which you can "add gadgets" - e.g. the html to run the divshare player...
The title section allows a description and also allows you to put a picture of your own behind it - hence the crop of my new LP's cover for the time being...
I'd always been reticent to use the new template from Blogger but after setting up the eight blogs for the back catalogue, I was used to it and decided to change the "master" blog...
Cheers for the note on Argent too - as you're no doubt aware, it's the Grimaldi line-up which graces the cover pic of the box - which is ironic given the content...
Will keep an eye out for Circus and Counterpoints - am seeing them next week in London at the High Voltage Festival...
Ta for the info on the template. I always come over a bit giddy if I start thinking about messing around with the blogger template. It reminds me that if Blogger were to go all HAL 9000 on me, I'd lose years of blogs, etc. I must try & figure out how to migrate the content from blogger to my own domain. Lack of time though dictates this always falls off the to-do list. No doubt I'll have plenty of time to regret not making the task a priority when it all goes tits up.
I did get an invite to High Voltage and was looking to take my son Joe as he's an avid Metal fan. Sadly the tax man had other ideas. Have a good one!
