The day of surrealism, building and football...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Discography

Up at 6 and back to work on the project to create a website for each of the eight Cloudland Blue Quartet song-based albums recorded since 1997...

A break around 9:30 to head to the gym, followed by breakfast, then back to work, as Anne added another coat of paint to the bathroom...

And so it was almost finished..

I've now added everything to the new server apart from the 42 songs on "Callingstill" and have created the eight new sites, with auto-starting players (the "callingstill" player to follow once I've uploaded all the tracks)...

Please do take a look/listen...

In the afternoon, it was off out and over to the Gallery of Modern Art for the new exhibition set to run until next January, "Another World : Dali, Magritte, Miro and the Surrealists"...

I liked it so much, I bought the book...

Big surprise of the day was that famed anthropologist Desmond Morris, he of "The Naked Ape" fame, is a surrealist, was an active member of the movement and is the only living painter whose work is featured in the exhibition...

To Patisserie Florentin - due to the Gallery Cafe being packed - and enjoyed coffee and cake...

Later, to Anne's mum's for the fortnightly family tea - my fourth curry in seven days...

Watched the first half of the World Cup Final, the game spoiled by too much fouling and Holland lucky still to have eleven men at half time...

Back home for the second half and the almost inevitable extra time...

Although Spain were the better team, the final irony was their scorer ought to have been sent off for retaliation during the second half and their captain/central defender ought too to have received a second yellow card and had his marching orders...

Oh well, all over for another four years...

Of course, Spain are in Scotland's qualifying group for the 2012 European Championships...

Groovy sunset tonight...

Lights out on another productive day...

Highlight of the Day : New websites up...

I have that album and will dig it out for a listen - LPs always seem to sound better when given a heads up from someone with whose musical taste you're in tune!

Cheers Ryan
