Music Played Today
Meanwhile, here's what happened...
Went a little mad on the old filling a gap in the collection front re Pere Ubu today on the death of David Thomas...
And played this rocking CD, bought in Newcastle when we were down in January 2024, for the CBQ performance there...
Eggs for breakfast...
Thursday...
We were waiting in for the gas man to come and service the boiler (not a euphemism)...
...and I was on an online chat with TalkTalk to resolve half hourly silent calls clogging up our landline ever since we rebooted the router re my troubles with what merely turned out to be my browser...
Solved...
When the gas men arrived I was reading this recently acquired book, soundtracked by my upcoming take on Eno's "On Land"...
Post lunch, out to Sainsbury for Euros, where we left the car for a walk into Stockbridge...
The sound of a peeping horn announced an unexpected meet up with Count Brodski...
A good chat through the window of his Kia Mobile ensued...
He is up for collaborating on the new Crazy Wisdom stuff...
He gave a us a lift to the main drag of Stockbridge and we had a look through a few shops but nothing enticed...
Coffees at Cup'n Books, very nice coffee, in very nice cups with a very nice wee milk pot...
On the way back to the car, a stop off in the Oxfam bookshop resulted in this (which Anne preferred to me ordering the great big hardback version which, together with postage would have been cheaper than the £4 outlay for this)...
A new project hatched in my head for ambient works with random titles of photos (my "Disquietmusik" tracks are named after randomly chosen paintings from the "Art" book in the same series)...
It may well come to nothing...
Some listening, including Berg's Violin concerto, which we will see /hear live tomorrow night, was followed by a tasty chili...
...and half an Easter Egg - a half price purchase from Sainsbury...
...along with today's new "Leverage" and an episode of "Rizzoli and Isles"...
Upstairs for some final listening...
..including the new thing from Edward Spark - that he advised he was changing pre its release tomorrow...
Which will be here before we know it...
Highlight of the Day : Out and about...
