Nobody wants this...

Music Played Today

Meanwhile, here's what happened...

The usual...

Scenes...

Post breakfast, Anne was off to Zumba - I donned my headphones and headed out for a wander...

As I passed it, I noted the progress made at the house on the end...

The beast was about its business, with the last 600 or so acquisitions (i.e. since just the first of March) on Shuffleplay, soundtracking its wanderings...

The machine was piping some good things into my ears...

To Shandwick Place but, under orders NOT to bring home any more CDs, I eschewed Fopp and took a tram...

...to Leith Walk - where, while several shops could just not be visited re what just might be there, nothing enticed enough to break the rule of the day...

Found myself at the Dockers and noted the upcoming Saturday Night "entertainment"...

A guitar & cahon due, a man with backing tracks, two men with backing tracks and a guitar, a girl with backing tracks - you get the picture...

A good chat with my contact, Sarah, in the office...

It's likely our gig in May will be our last one for a while, as grumblings have been put to the committee - it seems the regular crowd don't like the fact that we bring in so many outsiders, taking their seats and hogging the dance floor and boosting the takings and financials of the club...

Hmmm...

Oh well...

Noted a nearby record shop, brought to my attention the other day by Anne - but, despite the opening hours sign, and it being a Wednesday, it was closed...

Looks like it only had records in any case...

Back onto the tram to Haymarket...

The good sounds continued...

...and a 26 got me home around 1...

We found a new thing on Netflix, "Nobody Wants This" and enjoyed the first two episodes, before Anne headed to visit her mum...

Mr Spark sent me through the final version of his latest piece - a long slow version of the Pet Shop Boys' "It's a Sin", to be released on Friday and the first in a series of such reworkings....

Lush...

And...

The first single from the new Alice Cooper LP is out...

"Black Mamba" - I like it (but then was I really going to not like it?)...

I worked on a proposed "rocking" set for the band - with no Weddings and no Dockers upcoming, we are now totally free not to play any crowdpleasers...

Three 35 min or so setlists..

Off he went and we fired up "Nobody Wants This"...

We binged the remaining 8 episodes from teatime to bedtime...

And why not - now looking forward to a promised second season as we look for something else...

Highlight of the Day : New Alice Cooper Single/Out and About/Nobody Wants This...
