Meanwhile, here's what happened...
Slept in but up just in time to publish my latest LP, just after 8...
A very successful issue, albeit I "lost" 15% of revenue to Bandcamp as it was not supposed to be out till Friday, when they are waiving their cut...
But, we're off to Portugal tomorrow so, I had to let it out early...
Oh well...
But it started ok, with the new LP and, then, post breakfast, a trip into town to the solicitor re my mum's estate...
She was unable to see me just yet, which resulted in a wander around town for two hours...
Some time spent in Fopp - no purchases but I "enjoyed" perusing the track listings on the items in this rack, covering 1973-1979...
Surely I have every single song already?
Probably...
I was being soundtracked by reasonably recent into the collection sounds...
Took a bus up to Newington - no music bought but I did partake of this tasty book...
Towards noon, a bus back to the solicitor...
Bus home for lunch...
But then, just as I alighted back at the terminus at the top of the hill, news that there were widespread power cuts across Spain and Portugal...
Maximum stress kick in - with the rest of the day spent monitoring the situation...
Anne was off to visit her mum - except her mum was away on a bus trip - and, then, at Pilates with Lynn...
Meanwhile, I recorded and uploaded this week's podcast...
Wee Fang wasn't bothered by the Iberian Situation - he probably wanted our trip to be cancelled so he could have more goodies on the doorstep...
We'll see...
Salmon for tea, with particularly tasty potatoes...
A couple of "Rizzoli & Isles" took our minds off things, kind of...
I retired upstairs to keep an eye on the news while I dug this beauty out and gave it a listen...
Bought the 3 x 12” box on its release, back in 1979, but sold it in our shop (for an exorbitant fee it should be said) in the 1990’s.
This CD version was released in 1990…
Still sounds superb but, should I polish the metal box?
Maybe...
More music listened to pre bedtime, by which point things were becoming slightly less stressful with power coming back to Portugal but, knowing our luck, something is bound to go amiss tomorrow...
We'll see...
