Slept in again...
This morning, Anne was off somewhere or other and so I had the opportunity to sing through the third set for 24 may, on the acoustic...
Reasonable...
Post lunch and a "Black Snow", we set off for Musselburgh and started off a long walk at the Fisherrow Harbour...
...where schoolkids on Easter Holidays were jumping into the, less than pristine waters...
We walked East towards the River Esk...
...and then along its banks...
...the Swans reminding us of last night's top dancing...
Over a bridge...
..and into the town, admiring St Andrew's church...
Into Kaffeine for refreshments...
We both chose apple pie...
Then, we walked on up to Inveresk...
...with its fine houses...
We stumbled upon Inveresk Lodge and its grounds and took a wander around...
...before retracing our steps to a crossroads and taking the other turning, towards St Michael's Church...
..and down a path to the river...
...which we followed back around...
...and, eventually, after a walk by a rather busy road and a visit to Aldi for some drinks for later (non-alcoholic), we were back where we'd begun 2.5 hours earlier...
A drive home through Edinburgh rather than the bound to be jam packed ring road...
...and tasty pasta for tea...
Some telly watched - the next two episodes of "Bosch"...
Later, trying to work out why my neck was stinging...
Nope, that's not my neck...
Aha...
A good day...
Highlight of the Day : A walk around Musselburgh...
