Late up...
Writing this and listening to new acquisitions and the CBQ album due tomorrow...
Breakfast...
Re the Capital Models gig on 24 May, asking the guys to choose 30 songs each, from which we can formulate new set lists, hopefully freshening things up a little...
Chose my songs and created a wee playlist and gave that a listen...
News from Paul - he's out for the foreseeable future...
Into town with Anne re her project - today, looking at flooring...
This is probably the one...
...or, maybe...
I think we both prefer the tawny chestnut...
A visit to APul - in a bad way really re his leg pains but, hopefully, he will return to full strength over the next couple of months…
Round to brother-in-law Keith's to drop off his birthday card...
...before finding somewhere for lunch...
Cheesy toasties and tomatoey soup nourished your dynamic duo...
A couple of chazzas visited while in their vicinity...
And, home - to listening and ripping...
Three for a pound, six discs in all...
More of that Latin vocalising form the middle ages...
Alternative versions of 40 songs - not all of them "classics" it has to be said but enough on here to warrant the 33p outlay...
Ditto for this 59 track, 3CD set...
Very tasty chili for tea - with added jalapenos...
Then, the latest "Bosch", just out today and a shocking end to the episode...
"Bergerac" finished off tonight, with the requisite twist in the tail...
"Michael Portillo Discovers Portugal" (or something like that) sent me on a journey that ended up with me downloading soemm33 LPs of far out jazz...
Here's how it happened...
Portillo was in Coimbra, experiencing the Fado experience...
This led me to search for anything new by my Portuguese faves, Madredeus...
Nothing found, however, on researching the last singer in the group, Beatrice Nunez, I found, via her Wiki page, a collaboration on one track of an LP...
Very much worthy of your listening time...
This is how I stumble across great new-to-me music...
Lights out at 11:10...
Highlight of the Day : Out and about/Stumbling across great new to me music...
