Up late, not feeling particularly well so a bit longer in bed...

Looked like it might be nice out...

My specs were ready for action, even if I wasn't...

Porridge and in came Fang...

Sadly, not long after, he had to be let out /ejected as we were going out...

As part of the kitchen change project, glasses and crockery taken to charity outlets...

Then, a bag of 641 5p pieces (and one 2p piece) was put through the machine at the bank...

Followed by rolls and sausages and coffees for lunch...

Then, here's a sight you don't see very often..

Anne was searching, at my request, for "All the Young Dudes" by Mott the Hoople - the first LP I ever bought...

It was, however, as ever, fruitless...

I did pick these four up for £10 though...

Back home, as I enjoyed an afternoon of actual CD listening, some discussion about sets of Beethoven Symphonies...

I have these, plus Karajan on DG and a download of the "Re-Sound" set...

I wondered if it's possible to have too many Blue Note compilations...

The answer seemed to be "No".  I also looked out LPs featured on the new comp purchase today...

...and filled holes in my collection re the content, with downloads...

Meanwhile, on the Twitter, Sid Smith's cat, The Bug, was spotted with his mug...

This afternoon, Anne finished her latest painting...

Top notch, notwithstanding the lengthy gestation period due to Xmas and holiday hiatuses...

Tonight, some Weather Report listening, following the sad news of the death, at 89, of Wayne Shorter...

A sad loss indeed and deeply sad news for his family and friends. The rest of us should be very thankful for his myriad works, both solo and collaborational (e.g. Miles, Weather Report) and that they remain available to us…

As I enjoyed the far out jazz, Anne was prepping another top Spaghetti Bolognese...

...enjoyed with wine received from nephew Craig at Xmas...

This evening, more "The Black List: Redemption" and so, of the 8 episodes, only 2 remain for us, before we head back into Season 7 of the main thing...

More listening pre bed as Anne enjoyed "Corrie"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Listening to CDs...
