Friday...
...and the weekly ritual of getting up and scouring the internet for new stuff continued...
This morning, mostly classical items (see below)...
Views from the office...
Again, no singing today but a second mix of "Circular" completed...
Luna's last day with us - booo!
"Last day???"
Out to the place I go to lose and, today, I did indeed lose...
Home for breakfast...
...getting the new stuff into the phone and then off int the office to cancel last week's investments in light of the "banking crisis"..
A rethink...
Back to Corstorphine - Woolworths is now gone...
...and a look round the charity shops resulted in some acquisitions...
Top two from Cancer Research, 2 for £1, bottom 2 from Shelter, couple of quid each...
Never heard of this German singer before but she seems to be quite big there - good voice and a kind of Cabaret thing going on...
I will seek out more...
Can't go wrong with this...
This was a great find...
...and this, well I partook of loadsa downloaded stuff by this Aussie alternative band (their name means "Hate Rock") - of which this was one but, as ever, nice to have the thing...
Meanwhile Sid Smith was listening to this and people were wondering about the non-standard cover - it's a US pressing of Focus' debut...
Recorded tomorrow's podcast...
In other news, Yes have postponed their "Relayer" tour citing inability to obtain insurance cover...
Total bummer but at least it gives them a year to rehearse their new LP which they could play as the first half - but they won't of course...
Anyway, Steak pie for tea, yum...
...and Luna's last feed for now...
Olly and Gillian popped by to pick her up and off she went but only after having run off and hidden under our bed as, obviously, she wanted to stay with us...
This evening, back to Kirkliston and a meet up with Keith to check out his local venue, where his other band Lazy Horse will play tomorrow night...
Tonight's entertainment though was one Maxine jack, an excellent singer and her between song banter was top notch...
A seasoned pro...
Basically though, singing along to karaoke tracks and I thought, "Hmmm, I need to get a glittery suit and some between song banter/patter and some lights"...
Home around 11 or so...
Some TV and off to bed...
Highlight of the Day : Out with Keith...
Today's new music:-
