Sunday and couldn't sleep so, up before 6...

Got sucked into sorting out all my playlits on iTunes, putting them into various folders...

One I found was of the tracks in an Issac Hayes comp from 1976 on the Golden Hour label - a company that specialised in issuing compilation LPs lasting, you guessed it, an hour - which meant, of course, they were always pressed more quietly than normal LPs...

No such problems when creating a digital facsimile with tracks from CDs...

Anyway, breakfast time - Luna still enjoying her stay...

We watched "Match of the Day" - this week with no presenters, pundits or commentators, due to Gary Lineker having tweeted about the language of the government announcements around their "small boats" policy being comparable to that used in 1930's Germany...

While he was, of course, correct, "Match of the Day" was much better for being just the football...

A WhatsApp from chum Spike, a rampant anti lockdown and anti masking man, prompted me to advise I didn't mind lockdown, as it allowed me to get a lot more listening in, as illustrated by the playlist I have of my "lockdown listening"...

At 10, shopping done, both for us and for my mum...

Then to compiling my "Top 30" of cover songs recorded thus far, from the POV of enjoying singing them and being able to sing them, as the backing tracks are in the correct key - this latter stipulation consigning quite a few faves to the also rans section...

This afternoon, out to my mum's with the above shopping, noting a possible transport requirement later this month...

...and that she now has a stock of 10 tins of soup - she only eats half a tin at a time, when she has soup...

On the infection front, she seemed a little better but her trip on Tuesday to the Women's Guild, for which I am to provide transport, is in some measure of doubt...

Back home and Anne has started her next painting...

...and, upstairs, firstly, I set about recording the first "Covers Set" re my compiling this morning - with 12 songs being given a run through...

And, secondly, I was provided with stems for a new three way project with Edward Spark and Blue Sun Chasing (from York, Pennsylvania) and started work on that...

By midnight, a first draft mix had been set back to Mr Spark...

...and, with that, the weekend was over...

Highlight of the Day :
