Well, this might be the worst it's ever been re letting things get behind - writing this on 4th August, over 40 days' hence - but let's see what I can recall about this Saturday...

Up early as ever...

Using the Bluetooth headphones...

Taking random photos first thing...

...from various angles...

Looks like it was a nice day...

..and continuing with the section of the day - No 8 - CD-Rs from Kraftwerk to The Panics...

128 titles, 141 discs...

Choices: a home made 80 min collage version of a 3CD set by Matthew Florianz, a home made comp of someone everyone should hear, Sumner McKane and a burn of a 3CD Mott the Hoople hits & rarities set...

Podcast uploaded - Vol 25 - the 7 latest LPs of the day, more new releases, 12 newly acquired CDs, 1969 jazz...

...and music listened to...

A nice breakfast...

Probably should have taken the picture of mine before I added the brown sauce...

Garden was also looking good...

...and there was a visit from Fang...

...a sleepy Fang...

My 160 nominations for my top 5 of 1969 were finally honed to these 5...
1 Miles Davis: In a Silent Way
2 King Crimson: In the Court of the Crimson King
3 The Velvet Underground: The Velvet Underground
4 John McLaughlin: Extrapolation
5 Isaac Hayes: Hot Buttered Soul

If you’re not looking for actual, you know, “tunes”, but, rather, important influential music, played by top class musicians, this knocks “Abbey Road” (which I also like but I’m a realist) into a cocked hat…

It’s number one, it’s top of the pops!

Some reading and looking...

...re Documenta - the 15th of which we will visit soon...

More random pics were taken...

...including the one which I am still trying to have printed satisfactorily for Impossible Songs to hang in their living room...

...which random photo session led to me taking pics of all the paintings and photos which we have hanging on the walls of Crispycat Towers...

...which woke Fang up...

...for a few seconds...

Later, his new wee sister, Rocky, arrived for a visit...

...and ventured inside...

While all of this was going on, Anne was out on her leaving/retirement drinks do with her work colleagues, at All Bar One - good times were being had...

Here, good skies were noted later on...

...and some Sci Fi was sought out on TV...

I abandoned my first choice and ended up watching a good film about immortal soldiers, whose title now escapes me...

Tonight, some Paul McCartney at Glastonbury - pretty good for 80 years old...

Post the return of the EP (including a lift from the Zoo), not too much the worse for wear, off to bed with Mr McCartney on the cans...

Not too bad recollection...

Highlight of the Day : Anne retiring...
