Saturday!  Yowsah!  Only a week behind now....

Up, and wasted the first hour or so of the day scrolling through my Twitter timeline...

...and listening to the wonderful Roy Wood...

..and looking up stuff about him on the interweb...

Until, of course, this happened...

..and took a while...

Started a new wee project which was very enjoyable...

Looking through my chronological list of "LPs I bought between 1972 and 1983", I compiled 10 new  playlists...

They comprise the 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 LPs I like the best of those I bought when I was 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22...

Here's my 13 at 13...

More to follow...

And I whittled my 1976 choices down to these 100...

In the afternoon, dropped Anne and her mum off near Tynecastle for Hearts' cup game against Livingston - which the JTs struggled to win on penalties but they are now in the quarter finals...

Meanwhile, Queens' dreadful season continued.  Up 1-0 after an hour, away at Greenock Morton, they proceeded to lose two goals in 2 minutes with 10 remaining...

They are adrift, as the saying goes in that football...

Tomorrow, the management team will depart...

Anyway, after dropping the ladies off, I drove to the Saturday Place and took a look round the shops..

I picked up the first five of seven CDs for 50p each - slim pickings it must be said...

Over to Morningside and out in the rain to more shops...

In the final one, another 2 50p purchases, both by Rick Wakeman...

Was pleased to have found another Sam Baker disc...

Attention drawn this evening to Procol Harum and I dug this out...

I was thinking I'd lost the original sleeve but that's not my writing so I must've bought it in this one...

Three absolute cracking tracks on this 1972 EP...

Ah, yes, tonight was the night of the beans incidents...

A hunk of cheese fell into them whilst grating...

...while, earlier, in an attempt to open a stubborn tin of the lovely things, I managed to splash bean juice all over myself and the walls and ceiling of the kitchen...

As you do...

But, you know, it made the evening interesting...

Mmm, beans...

Highlight of the Day : Getting out the house...
