Merry Xmas everybody!

Up early and recorded and uploaded the final Eclectic Selection podcast of 2021...

Two more to go, re the Top 100 LPs rundown and that'll be me for the year...

A new LP, with a track each from the 14 CBQ releases of 2021 also released -  a taster for next week's release of previously unreleased stuff...

Then, a Covid test...

Thankfully, negative (as was Annie)....

The Best Xmas EP in the World...Ever lined up...

...but, breakfast first, pre present opening...

Rolls and sausages scoffed and then...

Play pressed, Wizzard on, and off we went...

Wine from nephews...

...and a big bag of things from Jane, Bob, Olly & Kitty...

Chilis to grow...

...coffee to drink, jam to enjoy...

For Anne...

A lamp re her artistry...

Possibly too much chocolate...

No, you can never have too much chocolate...

...a hand held rake (which was a requested present, incase you wish to comment - Anne loves gardening)...

...a sketch book for her artistry...

...the only physical copy in existence of my new LP (with a special commemorative cover re Anne's Exec Production) - and a 2CD collection of music Anne might "like", from the last 12 months...

...and, best of all, a trip to the Chelsea Flower Show in that London, in May, with Jane...

For the two of us, new cat mugs...

For me...

Chocolate money...

King Crimson I - live in 2021...

King Crimson II, the 8th annual Tour Box...

...a superb Andy Warhol book...

The autobiography of fave drummer, Bill Bruford...

...and more headphones - more AKGs but closed backed this time - to wear downstairs, for listening  while Anne watches TV...

Then around 10, out to my mum's., leaving Anne to prep for the rest of the day and listening to her latest Milano Jukebox...

At Loanhead, I helped mum open all her presents - only by handing them to her and, after her having opened them, by organising them...

Then, a pic, with her festooned with stuff - chocolate, biscuits and cosmetics and a lovely jumper (with anew dressing gown to follow later at sister Sheila's)...

While there, the carer, Liz, arrived and prepped mum for her day out...

Back home and Anne looking good in my new nutphones...

Merry Xmas to the pigeons (and unpictured squirrels)...

Elsewhere, pictures were coming in - Harris this morning with his big box of noise...

We apologised to Julie and Ali for not getting them earplugs to go with it...

Mum made it up to Sheila's and fun was had...

Harris will grow into this shirt (and may chop down trees)...

The uncles swapped nephews...

...and imaginary photos were taken of photos being taken...

Senior was festive...

Lockie had to have a rest mid way through...

...but was soon back in business, next to Kerr (who had to work later) - Lockie with his now infamous torch, later confiscated due to mischievous shining of it in people's faces......

Eventually, Harris conked out as the day in Penicuik came to a close...

Meanwhile, at the erstwhile Xmas venue, isolationary celebrations took place...

...with a new bauble on the tree...

Bob looked festive...

Xmas meal was still enjoyed...

Games were still played..

For your correspondent and the Exec Producer and the rest of Anne's family, at Keith and Maureen's the stage was set...

Having picked up Mary on the way, we arrived at 2 and unloaded all the stuff from Jane and Bob...

The kids, post having already been here for brunch, were out for a walk, as things were prepped...

...and drinks were enjoyed...

On Rebecca, Abby and Blair's return (Murray sadly having to work), presents were exchanged...

More things for me and unpictured things for Anne...

Good times...

The annual calendar was admired...

...with Bob's "Mr December" pic particularly enjoyed...

Here, the content in full...
More gin for the lady!

Rebecca and Murray's first child is due in early February...

To the dinner table...

Maureen and Keith doing a great job at very short notice, incorporating Jane and Bob's provisions sent with us, which were very much appreciated and enjoyed too - bummer that we couldn't all have been together...

There was a multitude of culinary choices for each of the three courses, all of which were yumtastic!

Trivial Pursuit was enjoyed followed by various desert selections and cheese plates...

At 8, time to go...

We took Mary home and then popped by Bob and Jane's, delivering goodies and recording for posterity, the isolationists, who were all in good spirits, despite everything...

Home after an excellent day, all pulled out of the fire...

Also today, greetings came in from Jorg and Manu in Gensungen...

Looking lovely...

...and from Yvonne and the kids, Xenia, Ansem and Teja, all grown up now...

Time flies...

Some listening to music on the new headphones and reading some of the Bruford autobiography and a couple of festive "Vicar of Dibley"s and, all too soon, it was over again for another year...

Lights out...

Merry Xmas everybody!

Highlight of the Day : It was Xmas...
