Up at 5am, or, rather, 4:59 am...

...having had last night's "raw" guitarscapes in my ears over night...

This morning, to work, with creating the final tracks, which involved, as it does re creating "Disquietmusik", some measure of just and no more out of sync duplication...

Then, with the five pieces of the main album done, to creating the alternative versions by reversing, slowing down and reversing the slowed down pieces...

Before 6 am, I was ready to start uploading the finished pieces to Bandcamp, for the album's release tomorrow morning...

The set up remained in place...

...and to WFH...

Post DQMV, this morning's listening, was these, recorded on this day in 1955 (Rollins) and 1956 (Morgan) - so, both slightly older than your correspondent...

Also today, Edward Spark sent me his new single - out tomorrow too - here, the two new things - DQMV with the initial cover, which was rejected due to the grain of the wood looking like it was coming out of the metal nodule, which I hadn't noticed until it was displayed like this...

Also today, uploading the new backwards, 16 RPM and 16 RPM backwards versions of DQM I and II...

And, this afternoon, a message from BIL Keith advising the offer of a free ticket for a concert by members of the SCO tonight at the Queens Hall, playing chamber pieces by John Adams, Mozart and JS Bach, all of which I listened to post accepting - I could, of course, not say "no"...

Post a tasty lasagne from the EP, out and parked at the Meadows...

...and in, having met with Keith and Maureen outside...

John Adams' "Shaker Loops" - top notch...

Excerpts from Mozart's "Gran Partita" for wind soloists - also good but my 5am rise got the better of me towards the end...

It featured the EP's cousin, Alison Green, on Bassoon...

K, M and I had agreed to meet up at the interval but there was none...

Oh well...

Onwards as the stage was re-set once again...

...and a delightful Brandenburg 5 from JS Bach ensued and was much enjoyed...

Out into the night, offering K&M a lift home but advised not required...

A walk back to the car...

...and a drive home, to finish off the prep for tomorrow before bedtime...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day : An unexpected concert...
