Up to finish off the podcast but up slightly later than intended...

Fired up the machines...

..and got to it...

..under promising skies...

Done and into the world by just before 9, an hour late - but I'm sure no-one was waiting...

Post breakfast, some King Tubby - gunned down for a few trinkets in 1989...

Updated the "Year of Wonder" playlist and sent some pics to brother in law Keith, source of the book on which the playlist is based, of (a) the pieces I've been "forced to source" since 1 January...

..and (b) of what I've played thus far...

Tasty...

Meanwhile, Anne was doing some tidying and found this item from 38 years ago...

Remains correct...

In the post, a CD - heavens - a strange occurrence these days...

It took a wee while to arrive from Europe but worth the wait.

The Amati Quartet play ten single movements, demonstrating the history of the String Quartet (including one clarinet and one piano quintet), from Mozart’s 1789 clarinet quintet to Herman Haller’s 3rd Quartet from 1992....

Tasty!

Out for a quick walk...

We drove to Leith and arrived at the same time as the rain...

But it cleared up and I got a few shots...

As on Wednesday, it was brutally cold...

Home for a late lunch - leftover curry from last night for me - yumtastic...

Accompanied by "Breaking Bad"...

Compiled my current Top 30 LPs (the charts are back!) and did so after working backwards through the weeks of new acquisitions to the start of December - which gave me a Top 30 for each week so far in 2021...

Rules?

Must be a 2021 release to be considered (also initially allowed to rollover from 2020 if entered the collection between 1 and 31 December 2020)...

Of course I have tons of "new" music which is therefore ineligible...

But, you gotta have a system..

A Chinese takeaway and, on telly this evening, "Deutschland 89" and "Vera" both recorded so no adverts - perfect Saturday night...

Highlight of the Day : Being outside...
