Up and finishing off the podcast - three hours this week due to the huge amount of new music coming in...

I have moved the silver cat...

...and the Xmas Elf off the speakers - for safety reasons...

A good early start to the day...

An attempted hook up with Dr Prog was nixed due to his back pain...

Oh well..

Stayed in...

A robin at the feeding station...

Anne's painting starting to take shape...

Testing out the sound in the back room...

...while yesterday's unmentioned order of plastic sleeves arrived...

I'd taken just under 300 of them off of these CDs to put on the ends of the boxes when I changed the storage set up last summer...

Now I could get round to restoring the situation...

It's what Saturday afternoons are for...

Eno and Tangerine Dream soundtracked...

Kept an eye on Queens in Dundee while Anne watched Hearts draw 1-1 with Morton on her iPad...

QoS went 1 up in 2 mins with a penalty and were 2-0 up at half time...

Then, 2-1 - then, a mix up and some parts of the internet were saying 2-2 - next thing it was 3-1, thanks to a wonder strike from veteran Wullie (yes, with a "u") Gibson...

Then Dundee pulled another back and 5 minutes of injury time had to be played...

I lined up "Rocking All Over the World" as a lucky talsiman - I bought it the day Queens beat Aberdeen 4-3 at Hampden back in 2008, as it was played post match over the stadium sound system (along with Bowie's "Heroes")...

That did the trick and saw the Doonhamers move into 4th place...

An excellent month for them...

The Alice Cooper listening from last night continued...

But I was growing more and more disappointed with the sound - so, out of retirement/the attic came the Sherwood amp - which served us from 1991-1998 in our record shop...

Lovely sound still...

Some Indian music enjoyed...

...followed by some funky jazz...

Joe Beck was on fire and Grover Washington never sounded better...

Spaghetti Bolognese for tea...

Yowsah!

I was in charge of coffee as we enjoyed a film, "Instant Family" - very good indeed...

Then, satisfied that the sound in the back room was good, I sorted out the cables...

Which involved taking all these CDs off the shelves...

Done...

The back speaker still wasn't up to scratch so ordered new speaker cable to arrive tomorrow...

The room...

..was filled with the sound of Grant Green - featuring Idris Mohammed on drums...

A Whatsapp to soon to be step nephew in law Blair re possible solutions to the sagging of the shelves...

...and off to bed...

A good day, all told...

Highlight of the Day : New sound in the back room...
