Sunday...

...a brief look around...

...and then, to the shops for my mum...

Back home, clarinet concertos accompanied breakfast...

Then, some required downloading of classical titles re the continued creation of the Clemency Burton-Hill piece a day playlist based on her book "A Year of Wonder"...

So far, I have needed to seek out  14 new things - which is good...

A visit from Fang...

...and, post a bacon roll, a visit to my mum...

Very shakey but putting on a brave face...

Some Bing Crosby enjoyed during the visit...

Back home, and today's random LP was another superb German release and, again Neu! related. La Dusseldorf's final LP of their trilogy post their self titled debut and "Viva!"  An excellent listen. Passes the tests of both tunefulness & experimentation...

A beautifully cooked steak for tea...

...followed by new discovery, re a random Tweet of an article in the New York Times, Peter Serkin’s disc of “Schoenberg Klavierwerke” (and another thereafter) while browsing through 700 Penguin book covers...

It’s what Sunday nights are for...

Anne was watching "Les Mis"...

So my listening continued with my remixes for Edward Spark...

...and, in the back room, a CD of Pleyel quartets...

I dug out other music I have by this contemporary of Mozart and pupil of Haydn...

...but the shout of "right you two" went up and so, it was lights out on the weekend...

Highlight of the Day : Discovering Peter Serkin...and Anne's expertly cooked steak...
