Up in the dark...

Monday morning...

Lights on - new day, new week, new month...

New look...

WFH...

But, in a day, other things happen when not WFH - e.g. pre WFH and post WFH so let's cpncentrate on that...

Started with w Pet Shop Boys type mix of "Doug McClure" by Mr Spark...

Also today, amongst many other things, I listened back to the Twenty Twenty collection released on New Year's Eve...

..and amended the title of the new album to "Elements" as the upload to Bandcamp took place...

Also today, another mix of Mr Spark's "The Curse" - an ambient mix...

In the afternoon, some cake, bought for Friday's celebrations but superceded by Jane's better home made item...

A few random LPs today brought things up to date...

French band Lili Drop's 1980 debut...

They did 2 LPs - I bought them both on a trip to Paris in '82...

This is much more punky than the 2nd....

Think they may have been up there with the best French New Wave - but, then again, what do I know...

Gentle Giant's much maligned last LP....

Ten years of top notch musicking lead to this...

Definitely not as bad as many progheads think. For 1980, it's still quite complex but has a more direct attack than the Giant's earlier works...

  Definitely worth a listen!

There's a simple naivety about Roedelius' "Selbstportrait" tryptich...

This is the 2nd of the 3. Recorded at home between 1973 and 77 and released on the Sky label in 1980...

One of many LPs bought in Kassel in 1980/81 which I still own. Lovely!

Although, as it's so quiet, it's not the best to be listened to on vinyl...

For tea tonight, an excellent idea from Anne - with a middle eastern feel to it, lamb with Tahini and flat breads...

Very tasty indeed...

Around 7:30, the radio in the kitchen having gone on the blink and new one having been ordered, said new item arrived and was set up...

Upstairs, post another not great result on "University Cahhallenge" (3rd on 60 points) and some "Call My Agent", the desk was even more tidy than yesterday...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Anne's cooking once again...
