Up(side down)...

The completion draws ever closer...

A reminder it was the weekend...

Coffee...

...and the podcast out into the world...

Breakfast at home and a walk planned...

...and executed - utilising the car park of the man and a pop into the office to pick up a present and a lovely card from chum Marta...

The best of Polish popular music as voted for by the Polish people in 2018...

The first half of the walk was not documented...

The weather was terrible and the wind bitingly cold...

A stop made at Canonmills for a focaccia for me and a cup of soup for the EP...

And onwards, snapping now happening...

The beast was out for a walk...

Back home, the Polish music was enjoyed as Queens went ahead early at Alloa but, frustratingly, after their top striker, Shields, had been kicked off the park, went down 2-1...

One of the highlights of today was discovering another new single from Alice Cooper, "Social Debris" had been released on his birthday...

Turns out it was co-written with original drummer Neal Smith and Mr S, plus original band members Dennis Dunaway and Michael Bruce, also play on it...

It quotes too, both "Elected" and "Luney Tune"...

Excellent!

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Anne was prepping tonight's "takeaway" - we are looking to eschew them for lovely home made curries going forward...

Tonight's was to be...

...a railway curry, courtesy of the box gifted to Annie on her birthday by chums Debbie and Sid...

While Anne cooked, I spun a few more random LPs to get up to date...

Firstly, "Big Beat", Sparks, last LP on Island, which is not up to the magnificence of "Kimono My House" or "Propaganda" and is not quite as good as "Indiscreet".  But...but... it's still excellent! Just one more Sparks title to come now, of the 14 vinyl LPs I still own...

Then, the 3rd of the 3 records I still own on vinyl by German leftfield outfit, Palais Schaumburg. Holger Hiller is long gone but future Orb collaborator Thomas Felhmann is still here, as is remix guru Moritz von Oswald.  Co produced by Inga Humpe...

...and closing with today's choice, the debut from Harmonia. Michael Rother of Neu! teams up with the Cluster boys, Roedelius & Moebius, for a fine sounding slice of what, these days, has come to be known as "Krautrock".  They surpassed this, though, with "Deluxe"...

And so, the curry - and a very spicy carrot salad indeed - was ready...

Man oh man...

...this was delicious...

A cheeky wee glass of Cab Sauv accompanied...

The rest of the evening was spent mostly tellying - with the last two of six of "The Investigation" - superb - the main protagonist did not so much as crack a smile throughout the whole thing...

The perpetrator was never named - which is good...

Also, the second of the two parter re "Death in Paradise", during which Ben Miller made a brief cameo, back from the dead...

And, on the comedy front, "Not Going Out" - the last one of the series, with a good tribute to the late Bobby Ball rounding it off...

A good Saturday all told...

Highlight of the Day -: Anne's curry - although getting out for a walk was good too...
