Up early and more music uploaded for Germany...

...while I enjoyed the music of Thomas Köner...

...fed the cat...

...enjoyed a coffee...

...a large coffee...

...and recorded a reflection of my condition...

...which was good...

At lunchtime, I took a bus up to Newington for a look around the shops up there...

Very poor pickings indeed...

I visited seven shops all told, only picking up there two items for a couple of quid at the PDSA shop...

A 2CD best of, including some remixes, from Dusty...

...and a reasonably tasty funky item, produced by the great Norman Whitfield...

The slim pickings were made up for as I arrived home to find a veritable pile of parcels on the sofa...

I had to complain about this one, as it had been described as a 5CD box set - in fact it's a single CD, OK new and shrink wrapped but with a cracked case and, if I sent it back, I was only getting a refund of half of what I paid for it - so, it's a keeper...

The music is good...

Now, this actually is a 5CD box and some of it was also sampled tonight and very good it is too...

...and a 6CD box of young pianists who now, 11 years on, all have recording and  careers in their own right...

Tasty...

And then, the three Wire Tapper CDs bought on Sunday morning...

Nice and weird...

I have around five more to get all told till i have all 50 issued to date...

The seller threw in two other comps given away with the magazine...

Nice gesture...

So, post a quick look through those, some listening on the CD player in the kitchen while I failed to recreate last week's very tasty pasta dish...

Close but just not quite as good...

Oh well...

A pretty dreadful no doubt teen targeted film "The Mortal Instruments" was kind of enjoyed from the Tivo - instead of listening to the new acquisitions...

Anne was happy on her return home from Tynecastle, where Hearts unexpectedly beat Aberdeen on penalties to go into the semi finals of the league cup - having equalized in injury time...

A good result at last...

And a nice follow up to Sunday's unmentioned 2-1 derby result away at Hibs, where they also came from behind to win...

She recognised the direness of the film I was watching, arriving home as she did, before it had ended...

This left little time for the new stuff...

And so, with more music sent to Germany, time for bed...

Highlight of the Day : A pile of parcels...
