Was I up early today?

Why, yes, yes I was...

The back room remains tidy...

The cats remain mischievous...

A repeat breakfast per yesterday's tasty concoction...

Anne was off out doing various things, initially with Lynn to Zumba then the coffee (and probably cake) - I coffee'd at home, while recording tomorrow's podcast - in good time for the first time in a while...

In the afternoon, Anne was out again post a swift stop back at Crispycat Towers for some lunch...

I enjoyed listening to some tuneless modern classical music while ordering more of the same off that internet...

Meanwhile, late afternoon, coincidentally (although expectedly) this arrived...

...allowing us to leave home and head into town for a birthday tea...

We were off to Dishoom to spend some coins gifted to me by colleagues 18 weeks ago today for my 60th birthday...

Anne was very much looking forward to this...

The lamb samosas and trio of sauces accompanying them were superb...

The lamb chops were also superb...

As was the jackfruit biryani...

In fact the whole thing was completely top notch, with some special slaw and a chicken curry with some of the most succulent chicken we'd ever tasted, comprising the rest of the fayre...

All of the gift coins were used...

Super tasty and very different from your "normal" Indian cuisine...

Back home, more listening and mucking about...

Late on, having resigned myself to being unable to purchase the new Rheostatics CD, I bought the FLAC download from Canada and very much enjoyed it - this their first LP for 15 years - my entire blog has been written since I last bought a new album by the Rheos...

Top day...

Highlight of the Day : Tasty Indian and new Rheos...
