Up early and, while the Exec Producer slept, your correspondent was in the lobby of the hotel, listening to new music, in his capacity as a dilettantish purveyor of eclecticity...

The new podcast is out...

I was soon joined by our sleepy chum and a top notch breakfast was enjoyed - how do they make any money - a double room and two breakfasts for £45...

Petrol topped up, provisions bought and onto the road again...

A two hour drive to Worcester, birthplace of Edward Elgar - I did not know that...

As you can see, the weather was not the best...

But we soldiered on through the picturesque town...

...and down to the river...

...with its swans...

...and its boats...

...before heading up...

...to the cathedral...

...where a wedding was taking place...

Fittingly, the pre-ceremony musicking on the large organ included Elgar's "Nimrod"...

The Wildes were lying around...

While the couple undertook their nuptials, to a rather strange sermon from the priest, involving guests being described as waiters and waitresses serving up the wine of God, we took a break for some scones/teacakes and coffees in the Crypt Cafe...

...which afforded good views...

...and ended our visit at Elgar's window...

Out...

...and back to the car, noting this plaque re Mr E's childhood home...

The walk back to the car was also picturesque...

Back on the road and another two hours took us down to Devon and our new home from home...

...which was soon ready for action...

After the long drive, we stayed in tonight, enjoying scrambled eggs and the sci fi film "Chronicle"...

The wildlife was singing outside...

...before we hit the sack...

And so, today's artwork is "The Priest and the Inadvertent Child"...
