The view from the office this morning...
The beast was listening to music...
...and taking stupid pictures, utilising seldomly utilised features on his camera......
This one proved popular on The Twitter...
The beast was wondering if, perhaps, he had too much music...
..as was Teddy, the over 50 year old Teddy...
All seemed right with the world...
...and this was randomly added to the collection....
But phone calls had been missed due to ears full of headphones...
My mum had had rather a bad fall at home in the night - more of an accident with her zimmer really, which left both her shins slashed wide open...
She didn't seem to realise she could press her panic button even between midnight and 7am...
We think this happened around 3am and the ambulance didn't arrive until almost 9am...
Blood everywhere apparently...
Sister Sheila and brother-in-law Andrew drove back from their caravan at North Berwick and cleaned up the house while the EP and I met the ambulance when we got to the infirmary around 10...
The almost 87 year old lady was seen swiftly and effectively, both wounds "stuck" back together - can't use stitches as "old" skin is no use re that - and both legs well bandaged up...
I must advise that everyone at the hospital was brilliant...
...and that I very nearly fainted when I saw both her legs sliced wide open...
But mum was super stoic as regarded the surely excruciating pain...

It will, of course, take several weeks for the wounds to heal but she is fine in herself, bright as a button, if a little shell-shocked...
By 2:30 she was back home enjoying a cup of tea...
We spent the rest of the afternoon with her, removing the offending "join" between her bedroom carpet and hall laminate which I think her zimmer got stuck on and making sure she could get up the stairs etc all ok...
Sheila and Andrew popped by too before heading back to N Berwick...
We left her at around 5:30, resting her legs. She's covered in bruises too...
We'll be back tomorrow for lunch and our usual Sunday visit...
The next week or so will be crucial with regard to possible infection etc...
On the upside, all this had meant we'd been unable to attend Hibernian v Queen of the South with nephew Olly - just as well as Queens were trounced 3-0 meaning Hibs won the league...
QoS down to 6th on goal difference...
Back home, the tickets for next Friday had arrived from Lex & Moira - I'd thought no post over the Easter weekend...
This evening, out...
...to the Festival Theatre...
...for three pieces of Avant-Garde Dance from The Phoenix Dance Company of Leeds - all to far out electronic sounds...
...just my cup of tea - and that of the EP too...
...and the very dab after a stressful day...
The quality of choreography, performance and music was extremely high..
Another eminently enjoyable night of dance...
Here are some videos if you're interested...
Out just after 9...
...and home to the first in the new series of "Dr Who"...
Which too was very good indeed...
A day of ups and downs...
Highlight of the Day : Mum's leg scenario being bad but not as bad as it might have been...

Hey, sorry to hear about your mum. That looks not nice at all. Brave lady. Hope she's better soon, x.
She seems to be ok but we'll see when the nurse changes the dressings tomorrow. Just hoping she doesn't get an infection.
