Up early and tidying in the back room...

Which led to some confidential papers having to be shredded...

Never, never wear headphones when you're shredding...

Disaster!

A new pair ordered - to arrive this evening - and a trip to Tesco for a further new pair of "standbys"...

A very expensive mistake indeed...

Home for breakfast...

Around 11, a walk on Corstorphine Hill, our back garden...

We took in the scenery and the bird song in an hour long, very enjoyable, leisurely stroll...

The beast and its Executive Producer...

Many people were out walking their dogs - this, a particularly large one...

There were deer - elusive deer...

Strange, coded signs...

...and views of the city through the foliage...

We heard a woodpecker but could not locate said beastie...

It may be in this picture...

We re-passed several people taking a circular route in the opposite direction - the giant dog and his owners...

...and, more often, various runners...

More strange things...

...and uncoded signs...

...and dogs...

...and views...

To the top of the hill...

The airport in the distance...

The beast and its Exec Producer were about their business...

Down the hill...

...still listening to the birdsong...

...and back to our starting point...

Lunch and "The Goldbergs" and then out to my mum's...

Sister Sheila called...

...and the garden was tended to....

Nephew Alastair had visited yesterday for a while and brought flowers...

Mum doing well and receiving frequent wound dressing changing visits from District Nurses - her house is full of bandages - I think it's going to take some time...

On to Anne's mum's for tea - after which Kitty relaxed with her phone...

...and Jane, as usual, did not want to be pictured...

Maureen had injured her knee in a recent fall but was soldiering on...

Back home, replacement headphones had arrived...

Amazing...

And "Line of Duty" continued to take unforeseen twists...

Draining....

Late on, compiling next week's podcast - which will include some input from my mum...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A walk on the hill...
