Up early and uploading the podcast a day early...

Watched this excellent film of the Rheostatics at Toronto's Massey Hall last April...

Noted CDs which were inherited from sister Pam and added to the collection but not the Red Book of CDs I Own...

Anne worked in the garden while I listened to recent demos...

This was added randomly to the collection...

I have probably picked up too much free Tom Waits and Nick Cave to be honest...

A visitor - Fang the Black Cat...

He came in, he went out...

He came in again...

He went out again...

Almost 3 years since Meg the Black Cat left us...

At noon, to Dr Prog's to pick him up for the drive to Glasgow...

Dropping off the EP to allow her to go and do things she likes, Phil and I visited Mixed Up in Otago Lane...

I must admit to buying "a few" CDs...

I have not been there for six months and kind of made up for that...

Oh dear...

As the man said though, some real bargains...

Back into the centre of town and this bus had brought The Neal Morse Band to Sauchiehall Street...

We had a wander about and then who should we see but drummer Mike Portnoy...

Your correspondent morphed into a fanboy - Dr Prog did not...

Coffee and cake and waiting on the EP...

...who soon arrived post a successful shopping trip...

Back to the car as the extortionate parking fee was about to run out...

We found a more economical spot and searched for Akbar's Indian restaurant, a recommendation from new chum Rohina, who is in the know re Indian restaurants in Glasgow...

There was much looking about...

...and pointing...

...and photographing of things adorning buildings...

...and underpasses...

Finally we found it and some very tasty fayre was enjoyed...

...we did not order a nan though...

Back to the main drag of Sauchiehall Street...

 ...and into the 02 ABC...

Dr Prog took his place down the front while the EP and I enjoyed an advantageous view...

A fantastic show which really brought the album to life...

The Doc clung to his front row position...

...while the EP enjoyed an intermission Akbar lollipop...

Onward...

The outstretched hands below belong to Dr Prog...

A full two hour show followed buy an encore...

Superb - I had been worried the EP might not have enjoyed this but she advised it was brilliant and had indeed been very much enjoyed...

So that was good...

Out into the dark still pre 10pm...

Underpasses were re-photographed...

..and Akbar's was walked past...

Back to the car...

And a straightforward journey home, albeit with diversions en route...

Dr Prog delivered back to Prog Towers, then home...

Some quick listening before hitting the sack...

Best thing was, it was still only Friday...

Highlight of the Day : Neal Morse...
