Breakfast at home...

The views from the office this morning...

Out...

...and along past Plaza de Agustín Lara...

...and on...

...to our early morning target, El Rastro - the huge Sunday morning Madrid flea market...

...where these two (pictured later on) CDs were snapped up for just one of your European Euros each...

Did I mention it was roasting?

Many people seemed to be there to swap collectors' cards and stamps....

There was a disappointingly small amount of CDs and an equally disappointing surfeit of vinyl...

...but I found this for a further 2 Euros...

...at this old guy's stall - he drove a hard bargain...

Beer and free tapas were enjoyed at Bar Skinazo over on Calle de Mira el Sol...

...a packed and buzzing little place...

There was even more junk to be perused on the surrounding side streets...

Anne acquired a new money purse and groovy bag...

...before we made our way back over to Reina Sofia for the free entry Sunday afternoon session...

We took the lift to the top floor (or second top - the top was closed)...

...and made our way down...

I've agreed with the Exec Producer that I'll only post a collage of individual artworks recorded and full pictures where viewers are present so, here are all the former...

...and the latter...

...including, of course, the work of Salvador Dali...

..and Picasso...

From this room on, no pictures were allowed...

...as we approached La Guernica - this sourced from elsewhere...

Beautiful...

Onwards...

This, "A World" by Angeles Santos, was perhaps my favourite work in the gallery...

It was all too much for some...

Out into the gardens, enjoying the early evening sun after a long visit...

An ant in homage to Dali...

Two happy bunnies...

And then, a surprise as two chums from Edinburgh appeared out of nowhere - Tommy and Carolyn were on an almost simultaneous trip and had chosen to enjoy the gallery too this very afternoon...

Quite a coincidence - in another time, a religion may well have been founded upon such a thing...

We left them wandering in the gardens and went in search of refreshment...

...finding it on Calle de Santa Isabel...

...and again, further up the road towards home in the lovely wee jazz bar, Lamiak on Calle Rosa...

Later on, out to one of the very many Indian restaurants in the area for some tasty food...

...noting the cheeky wee sandy coloured dog whose bark could very often be heard out on the street...

Our constitutional...

...took us back down Calle de Santa Isabel...

...and back to outside the Reina Sofia...

...where the moon was out once again...

Finally, out towards Atocha Station...

...before heading home for a wee nightcap back at the apartment...

Highlight of the Day : Reina Sofia...
