Up early...

..and finishing off this week's podcast...

Outside a wee monkey, not Fang but looks like him and like the much missed Meg the Black Cat...

Out for breakfast...

To Pattisserie Florentin...

Then, a walk in the sun - too hot for me but not nearly as hot as it's going to be on an upcoming trip...

Could've done with a polar ice...

This noted for a possible visit but a definite wee playlist back home...

All along the street, many shops not yet open...

Shelter was though - and I picked up this disc of 16th Century Dance Music by Tielman Susato, the Calvin Harris of his day apparently...

Back to the car...

...spotting this desirable property in a shop window at offers over £695,000...

That would be nice...

I really need to write a hit song...

Back past PF...

Then, a drive to Hopetoun and the garden centre, for a present for my mum...

A couple of Azaleas...

We also tried on some hats re upcoming sun...

From this it can be seen that your correspondent does not look great and looks even worse in a hat...

Nonetheless, we both made purchases....

To Loanhead...

Some digging, forking and hoeing ensued - by both of us, I can assure you but only I had the camera...

This was strange one...

Close to were Tufty the Abyssinian Guinea Pig was ceremoniously buried in the mid-70's, it appeared he'd turned into a juice can...

The remains of a previous digger's tools...

To another Garden Centre (hey it was a Sunday!) for compost, then to Asda for some cold juice which hadn't been in the ground for 40 years...

Back to ma's for coffee and a snowball...

While I chatted with the auld yin, Anne busied herself in the new patch with the Azaleas...

An excellent job...

Mum seemed pleased with the outcome...

Some other highlights from her sparsely populate garden...

Home to find a spider trying to take over the garden at Crispycat Towers...

Monkey...

We'd been away for 7.5 hours...

...but I had secured a hat...

Red Thai Chicken Curry for tea...

... and three, count 'em, episodes of "Follow the Money" brought that particularly good series to a satisfactory end - "new Girl" was also enjoyed...

Lights out infeasibly late...

Highlight of the day : Gardening...
