Up early and bringing the "Red Book of CD's I've Acquired Since 1985 (Vol 2)" up to date...

...whilst listening to interesting music...

Updating the book led me to choose the tracks for next week's podcast by way of a random number generator, appying the numbers to the entries in the red books...

Seemed to work...

Action at the feeding station...

...as we breakfasted...

At 10 out with Anne, over to Easter Rd and a dental appointment for her - then, off to Glasgow...

We stopped in at Mixed Up and another five bargain CDs entered the collection for a quid each...

...which was less than half the price of two coffees a toastie and a baked potato at nearby Offshore...

Thus has music been de-valued...

To Firhill on Maryhill Rd for today's League Cup tie between Premier League Partick Thistle and our own faves, the Championship's Mighty Queen of the South...

Queens directors pitch-side...

Striker, Derek Lyle...

Coach, Big Jim Thomson...

The officials' warm up was entertaining...

A good crowd...

And Thistle's scary mascot was in attendance, of course...

A goalless first half saw Queens hit both post and bar...

People had their pic taken with the scary mascot at half time...

Three minutes into the second half, Queens took the lead...

We sat on our hands, given we were in the centre of the main stand amongst the Jags' fans...

Queens then hit the post again...

However, with 8 minutes to go, Thistle equalised and then snatched the game with another in the final minute..

Gutted...

It's only a game though...

The pitch was invaded by one fan at the end...

...as Queens' players left the field dejected...

We drove home and enjoyed a tasty curry...

More action at the feeding station...

One...

Two...

Three...

Four...

Five...

Six...

"The Musketeers" entertained, as did "You've Been Framed" and the new classical discs...

We watched two episodes of "DIY SOS" into the early morning before hitting the sack...

A good day, despite Queens' loss...

Highlight of the Day : Footie...

I think your baked potato was overpriced not the cd's. A bad week for football at Crispycat Towers.

£13+ for the food and coffee, £5 for over 5 hours of top classical sounds... Yeah, ok, you might be right... Saved £20 on the CDs - not that I'd have bought them new probably. Ok ramble over...

You're allowed. Re 24th July post. Watched a wee bit of the Walter Mitty film, found it too stupid and i'm not a fan of Ben Stiller. The docu on Ch4 at 8 last night about Saddam Hussein on the other hand.
