Up early and the usual useless mucking about that adds nothing really - bringing some albums into iTunes from hard drives...

Breakfast at home and fulfilling orders, which required a walk down the hill in the rain with Anne to the post office...

A trawl through the local charity shops procured no results other than another 8 Quintin Jardine titles for my mum...

Very good coffee and baked goods around midday at the Coffee Bean...

The weatehr had improved as we walked back along the main street and back up the hill...

...provisions for the evening meal having been secured by the Exec Producer...

Garden looking not bad...

An afternoon spent ensuring classical CDs are in iTunes - A-C completed...

Also some time spent enjoying the out-there music of Coventry born Brian Ferneyhough, in particular his music for string quartets and trios, as performed by the Ardittis...

In the early evening, a very tasty stir fry nourished, while some backed up comedy was caught up with, before the Germany v Italy Euro Quarter Final...

Wow,Gary Lineker and his BBC pundit people really don't like the Germans...

A stupid penalty for Italy led to the game concluding as a 1-1 draw...

The Italians played extra time hoping for penalties - and they got them...

One of the worst shoot outs ever, penalty quality-wise...

After 5 had been taken by each side, they'd both missed 3...

Germany finally triumphed - which seemed fair, given they had been the better team for most of the 120 minutes of open play...

Could there be a Wales v Germany final?

Ended the day with more downloading - Japanese Morgaua Quartet and their prog-rock repertoire...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Germany finally winning the shoot out...
