A text from nephew Olly first thing, alerting me to the fact that Queen of the South had parted company with their manager James Fowler...

Such is football...

However, it says much about how far the club has progressed in that, not achieving a place in the Championship play offs, is deemed failure...

Despite this news, a lovely day and, for a change these days, not too cold...

Lunch in Princes St Gardens...

Accompanied by these monkeys...

...and this wee beauty...

Was also asked by a passer by if I knew where the "AA Meeting" was being held?

Home, still under the sun...

Unpictured cooking with Anne soundtracked by the, in her opinion, "shouty" Fehlfarben - replaced therefore by the more soothing sounds of Platti's cello concerti...

I probably drank a little too much port during the proceedings...

A call with Dr Prog this evening in an attempt to firm up arrangements for next week's Yes gig in Glasgow...

Some progress made but some ongoing things mean a remaining lack of pinning things down...

Later on, some reading in the back room, some listening to records and, ending the day, a not that great episode of "Holby City" - still good though...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking with Anne...

You can never drink too much port (or is it Port?). Shame about that Prince tonight eh? (or maybe prince?).

Correct re Port and Prince - the latter I never really got, although I enjoyed a few of his tunes back in the day...
