A sunny morning after last night's rain...

...and a walk to Liverpool St...

...for breakfast at the Polo Bar...

A good start to the day - if a little less healthy than yesterday's fast breaker...

A tube to Oxford Circus...

As we arrived above ground, Anne enquired "what's that wee church?"...

Off we went to explore...

It was All Souls Langham Place...

...behind which lurked the BBC...

A dalek was spotted, threatening to exterminate any touchers...

A health secretary was spotted being interviewed...

..and a classical guitarist was spotted signing autographs...

The names of places around the world are recorded in the ground, while speakers next to them spout "stuff"...

The One Show couch was spotted...

...and an unpictured George Galloway was also spotted...

A veritable spotter's paradise...

But we had an appointment...

...not in Harley Street...

...rather, a morning concert at the Wigmore Hall...

...by this quartet of very talented young men...

Older men at these things do have a tendency to wear red chords...

The view from the office this morning...

Quite possibly my favourite concert venue - and no need to tell anyone to "shut the fuck up"...

After listening to wonderful rendition's of Mozart's 1st String Quartet and Beethoven's Opus 132, we made our way to the Green room to meet the players...

The beast was about it's business in a mirror at the Wigmore Hall...

Then, downstairs for a cheeky wee sherry...

...before making our way outside...

A stop off at Pull & Bear on Oxford Street resulted in a new jacket entering the collection, while the Exec Producer got something she likes...

Our afternoon plan was a visit to Greenwich...

...with the Cutty Sark...

...and the Old Royal Naval College...

...guarded by Sir Walter Raleigh...

The exhibits included this fallen off a building lion...

...and a knight's helmet and gauntlet...

...and a couple of windows from a demolished palace...

Further into the grounds were the Painted Hall - on the right - and the Chapel - on the left...

...while, on a hill in the distance, lay the Royal Observatory...

Into the very impressive Painted Hall

It was here where Admiral Nelson lay in state...

Out and over to the Chapel...

...and on...

...past the Maritime Museum...

...to the closed for renovations Queen's House...

..and on...

It was absolutely freezing...

...as we walked up the hill to the Observatory...

The Meridian Line was proving popular...

General Wolff overlooked proceedings...

It was a hill which afforded good views...

The 24 hour clock took a little understanding...

The Exec Producer on both sides of the world...

Back down into the town...

...for some warming coffee, with obligatory cake...

...before taking the DLR and Tube back home...

There was something of the Tardis about Aldgate East...

In the evening, out to nearby Union Pizza...

A great place with great food and a great concept...

Muchly recommended...

Home in time to watch the final episode of "War & Peace"...

...and to enjoy looking at all my new CDs...

Idiot...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Quartetto di Cremona at the Wigmore Hall...
