Started the day with a concert form 2001 by jazz faves Lemon Juice Quartet - of whom, virtually no-one seems to have heard...

We saw them in a tiny club in Krakow back in 2003 and, to my knowledge, they've only ever recorded two albums (I have them both) - so finding this on Youtube was a boon...

I have albums by trumpeter Avishai Cohen and guitarist Eyal Maoz but neither, for me, comes close to the LJQ...

Also listened to disc four of the proposed new CBQ album...

Out and about this morning, but what's this?

Why it's the EP, about to enjoy...

...lashings of coffee and...

...a tasty bacon sandwich...

After breakfast, into the Cloudland Blue Mobile and parked over at "the Saturday Place" and walked to the Music Library, where I handed back my stash from three weeks ago and took out some new stuff...

Then, a further walk, through the University campus...

...to Summerhall, ostensibly to pick up our tickets for Ulrich Schnauss...

We were advised the info on their website is wrong and we just need to bring our confirmation e-mail along on the night...

Not to have wasted our journey, we took in some art...

...and had another lovely coffee...

...in their expanded cafe area...

I perused the latest borrowings...

A 3CD box of Can...

...and theses cheeky wee classical beauties...

Aslan the dog was looking a bit worn out after his morning walk as he waited on his master returning from the counter...

A walk back to the car and enjoyed the music of Peter Gregson on the way home...

Some ripping and listening ensued, while Anne partook of social media to follow a disastrous 2-1 defeat for her beloved Jam Tarts, away at bottom of the table Dundee Utd (Queens play Scotland's newest club tomorrow in Dumfries)...

A distraction from this was her witnessing a squirrel nabbing the entire content of the coconut shell from the feed station...

Here is the culprit...

Into his mouth...

...and off he went to find a safe hiding place...

Meanwhile, we had a visit from the wee black cat from yesterday - it did some unpictured provisional exploring around Crispycat Towers...

I'm sure the wee monkey will return...

In the evening, I took Anne and Lynn into town for Lynn's sister Sheila's annual birthday night out...

Back home, well ahead of schedule, I took the opportunity to record Volume 8 of the Cloudland Blue 2016 podcasts...

...and watched the Bruce Willis "action/comedy" "Red", which was deemed "no-bad", before heading back to pick up the ladies in the early hours...

A good Saturday...

Highlight of the Day : Podcasting...
