A day of much music but only five of these, the last 100 CDs to hit the collection, were amongst those titles sampled...

Because, for an upcoming solo trip to Spain, I emptied my phone and then added one album each form my top tens from 1959 to 2016 so far (that'll be "Blackstar" then) - with the rule that only one album by any artist was allowed...

I listened to this selection for most of the day...

However, this new one, from the "Shelf of the 100", accompanied breakfast, as the birds and squirrels went into action at the feeding station...

I also put together two new podcasts, going back to the "top ten albums of..." project and recording and uploading 1980 and 1981 (click on "podcasts" above)...

Anne was out watching Hearts thrash Motherwell 6-0 - Queens' league match in Dumbarton, where they lost in the cup last week, was postponed due to a frozen pitch...

Meanwhile, nephew Andy and niece-in-law Tori are up for a visit from Leeds and my mum got to meet the namesake of my dad - whose birthday it would have been on Thursday - this from Andy's phone...

In the evening, out into the snow...

...and this frog was said by the Exec Producer to resemble your correspondent...

To the King's Theatre with Andy Senior, nephew Alastair, fiance Julie and grandnephew Kerr - sister Sheila and my mum were downstairs...

Our neighbour painted the ceiling...

We were here for the pantomime...

...which was very entertaining indeed, with jokes a plenty, some corny, some risque - and pyrotechnics and special effects also a plenty...

A good night out...

Home in the snow...

...early enough to catch the hour long highlights of the Hearts match...

Bed post midnight...

Highlight of the Day : The pantomime - oh no it wasn't - oh yes it was - etc...
