An excellent lunch today with chums Gaz and Nick at La P'tite Folie (where the EP dined Monday lunchtime with chum Debbie)...

No pics but, suffice to say, the mussels, beef, white wine and coffee all went down nicely...

This, of course, necessitated another walk home...

...past what once was Donaldson's School for the Deaf...

..and Roseburn...

...and Murrayfield...

...and on...

...noting a lost, no doubt well-loved and now much missed, object of affection...

...past Jane & Bobby's...

...and Anne's mum's...

...and the rabbits at the Zoo...

...and on...

...past a place of worship...

I could not face the hill climb and so walked on for a further 15 minutes into Corstorphine, taking a 26 up around the hill to the terminus...

The beast was about its business...

...and down the hill homewards - the length of the walk now the same as it would have been had I climbed the hill...

...for some amp switching around...

My classic NAD 3120, bought in 1985 and still in perfect working order... 

...now driving my everyday listening...

This evening, voted thus in the Prog Magazine Awards...

I'd never heard of Danish band Mew before this evening but they do seem to be reasonably good...

My real anthem of the year would have to be either Bend Sinister's epic "Best of You" from their album "Animals"...

...or Flying Colours' superb ballad "The Fury of My Love" from "Second Nature"...

Later on, Wednesday night will be Holby night - it better have upped its game...
