Up around 6:30 and working on CBQ stuff...

A new combination of soundscapes, stretched spoken word and newly created this morning infinite string quartet music...

It might work...

It might not...

It's certainly an ungodly racket anyway!

Swapped around the amps etc...

...making this the new set up in the computer room...

...and meaning only the turntable remains on the box in the back room - making the music based contents more easily accessible (mini-disc players retired to the attic)...

"School's Out" the first record played under the new regime...

...followed by some Michael Rother...

...and Yes...

After a light lunch, out into the garden...

...and on to Loanhead, picking up my mum's shopping on the way...

She was on good form...

...reading the blog re the Bremen/Felsberg trip...

Then, to Anne's mum's for a well-attended family tea..

Once again, I put niece Kitty in charge of the camera...

Maureen...

Bob...

Jane and Nephew Craig...

Granny Mary...

Olivier...

Annie Milannie...

Keith...

The beast...

Self portrait by the Kitster...

...who does like to take pics through other people's glasses...

I took some macro shots of the biscuits on offer...

...before heading into town for the Trio HSK gig...

...which commenced with a solo set from Snarky Puppy's Cory Henry on piano and Moog...

...before a slight stage reshuffle...

...with the Moog moving over towards the drums...

Two long tracks from HSK, including their take on Miles Davis' "Blue in Green", before Henry joined for a one off quartet...

In places, it put me in mind of Return to Forever - indeed both sets contained a cover of Chick Corea's "Spain"...

Cracking stuff...

Bought the trio's new guitarist, Ant Law's 2015 album, "Zero Sum World" at the merch table - having consulted the man himself re the better of the two discs on offer - and, back home, HSK's three track EP from Bandcamp...

Impressive...

A good end to the weekend...

PS some footage had appeared on Youtube - the back of my baldy head is down the front on the left...

Highlight of the Day : HSK...
