What's that Ted?  You like the new look of your room?  Glad to hear it...

At Fopp today, a bit of a splurge on recently introduced jazz titles, each, as noted in the pics below, for just three of your English pounds...

Puts things into perspective when you consider how much it costs for two cups of, admittedly tasty, coffee and two, admittedly very tasty indeed, Portuguese Tarts in a trendy cafe in Stockbridge...

And that's also taking into account that said cost was, comparatively, pretty reasonable for coffee and cake for two...

So that's that justified then...

A lovely day and jacket and cardigans possibly put away until autumn - we'll see...

This evening, some jazz listening...

...some shouting at the computer screen re the stupidity of many of the Scottish Electorate and our glorious leader - she had no answer as to how cuts of £30bn can be termed "savage", whilst plainly unaffordable proposed spending increases of five times that amount can be described as "modest"...

And if free tuition at Scottish Universities is so great, how come a "working class" person in Scotland is much less likely to go to university than a similar person in England?

The SNP's policies do not help the poorest in society they help the middle classes obtain free prescription healthcare, zero increases in council tax imposed by central dictat and free tertiary eduction - all of which they could easily afford, giving the government the very funds it intends to borrow to help the poorest in society...

Truly mad...

Thankfully, a much harder time was had this week than in the UK debate last week for the SNP leader, given her opponents and the audience actually knew a bit about how badly her party has run things here...

Anyway, "Holby"'s coming on so time to shut down and do something more interesting instead...

Highlight of the Day : Jazz splurge...
