Went to bed well after midnight - my iPod ended up playing all through the night...

Woke this morning to the sound of Thomas Köner's album, "Daikan" - a superb piece of ambience - one 55 minute piece - he has been a big influence on my ambient output ("Morphinecodex" and the as yet unreleased "SS SQ XIX") since I first saw him at the Denovali Festival in 2013 in London, where I was so impressed I bought three of his CDs...

I saw him again, at Cafe Otto in London, last year...

I logged into Bandcamp and bought his La Barca collection for just eith of your European Euros - much recommended...

While it downloaded, I compiled the spotted in HMV yesterday 2CD set by Deus...

"La Barca" soundtracked the initial fifteen minutes or so of today's decorating marathon - until the EP asked for it to be stopped and some "real music" to be played...

I duly acceded to her request and City & Colour, UK, Edward Spark, The Tubes, Chicago, Vivaldi and the first of my April podcasts soundtracked the day...

Mind you, "La Barca" is back on as I type this, this evening...

A day of wallpapering then...

We started at 10:20...

...and took three hours to complete one side of the room...

I found a CCTV camera hidden in the wall...

..and noted birds high in the trees outside Crispycat Towers,...

A break for lunch and last night's "Big Bang" and "Brooklyn Nine Nine"...

Back to work at 2:15...

I know it looks like Anne did all the work...

That's because, other than cutting of lengths and measuring and, ahem, "conceptualising" when strange shapes of paper were required, and going to the DIY shop for more paper when we ran out, Anne did, indeed, do all the work...

Around 6:30, there was one small strip to finish off...

Mission accomplished - and much clutter moved temporarily back in...

Painting will ensue, carpet laying will ensue, a big wardrobe installation will ensue...

Some shelves may well ensue...

And then it will be ready...

A celebratory Indian for tea then working on orders for Reptile Records, surfing the net, writing this and listening to Thomas Köner again...

It's all good...

Highlight of the Day : Being Anne's assistant...
