Breakfast at home again...

...before filling up the car and picking Olly up from Jane & Bobby's...

A two hour drive to Dumfries was soundtracked by music I listened to when I was Olly's age...

His main questions were - "is that person still alive" or "is that person in jail"...

Lunch at the QoS Arena

Tickets purchased, a visit to the club shop for a programme...

...then to the Old Stand to select best seats - second front row...

A good view...

Kick off - and Queens were kind of on top...

Derek Lyle scored a "wonder goal" half way through the first half...

The crowd, including the Dalek impersonator with the big brown hat, went wild...

Changeable weather accompanied the game - which was dominated by Falkirk in the second half but QoS soaked up the pressure...

A spectator in the front row didn't help matters when, returning with three cups of coffee, proceeded to drop two over the front of the stand onto the home dug out...

Meanwhile, back in Edinburgh, Hibernian beat Hearts 2-0 in the last Derby of the season - just as well the JTs have already sown up the championship...

Back in Dumfries though, Queens held out for a win...

...to the delight of the fans - into the play offs for the second year in a row...

We stopped off for tasty pizzas on the way home - for the record, at Little Italy on the outskirts of Dumfries...

Yum...

What's this?

It's the Little Italy cat perhaps - impersonating the much missed Meg the Black Cat...

A drive home listening to German music re Olly's studies - and prog rock - with which the boy was not much impressed - "hardly any lyrics" he complained...

Back at Jane & Bobby's, niece Kitty recorded CBQ's delight at his favourite team's performance this year...

Home for coffee and surfing and, late on, the day's highlights...

A good time...

Highlight of the Day : QoS almost certainly into the play-offs for promotion...
