Up early...

...and 15 new albums downloaded whilst uploading the podcast, or rather cloudcast, as I believe these things are now known, and writing the notes for posting it here...

Correspondence with Dr Prog had advised that, this morning at 11 he would be attending the Takacs Quartet's performance of pieces by Janacek, Barber and Beethoven at the Queens Hall...

We created our own version at Crispycat Towers before heading into town to meet up with him post his having been entertained...

We parked at Roseburn and walked along the tram route to Haymarket...

...up Morrison Street and past the castle...

..and Tollcross...

...to the Meadows...

...and its ongoing building project in place of the old Royal Infirmary...

...and on...

...past Summerhall to the Queens Hall...

..where, following a quick coffee at Bonningtons due to our earlier than expectedy arrival, the meet was successful ...

The trio made their way to The Potting Shed for a tasty lunch...

...before walking through the last weekend of the Fringe...

...and out the other side and down into the Grassmarket...

..where Phil found something he likes...

For the umpteenth time, I am trying not to buy any more CDs...

We walked on in search of cake and, with Love Crumbs being full up, we plodded on past Tollcross again and to the found to be excellent, Louden's Bakery...

A small gluten free fruit scone looked better than it tasted...

Much chat undertaken, including pictures of Jupiter Artland...

..before we bade farewell to the Doc and headed back to the car...

...after around five hours of fun...

Back home, I commenced the listening to the new acquisitions, taking breaks for two episodes of "CSI" and the long awaited debut of Peter Capaldi as "Dr Who"...

After a shaky start, I adjudged it a triumph...

Looking forward to the return of the Daleks next week...

Lights out..

Highlight of the day : The return of Dr Who...
