Weekly playlist notated and uploaded while even more music was downloaded, no doubt some of which will feature next week...

Best discovery of the day, of the five albums joining the collection, was Bend Sinister's "Animals" - a wonderful slice of proggy power pop, which put me in mind of Jellyfish and Jason Falkner...

Two new albums from the Hubro label disappointed while Norwegian electro poppers Substaat impressed. The fifth selection is yet to be sampled, a jazz disc from Geraud Portal...

Out for a walk from Roseburn into town, taking a detour round by the secluded Coltbridge Gardens, with its Bowling Green -  a local resident regaled us with a few background stories, including the fact that Queen Mary used to bowl here and that her wearing of a choker was to cover up scars from a suicide attempt...

Hmmm...

Nice area...

Along the Water of Leith emerging at Belford...

...and on into town past the cathedral...

Clothing targets were met, coffee pot targets were not (remedied later by Anne on the net) and back to Roseburn on the bus with salad for lunch...

In the afternoon, "The Honourable Woman" was watched and enjoyed - more twists - while Queen of the South went top of the league with a 4-0 win away at Dumbarton - early days of course...

Tomorrow Anne will watch Hearts v Hibs at Tynecastle...

Recent jazz purchases were integrated into the physical collection while classical and rock & pop were "sorted out" - i.e. alphabetised but not filed - daunting...

Mid afternoon, a call from sister-in-law Jane, asking if Anne could emergency baby sit re Kitty and so Anne was away from 5:30 till 9:30 - a good tiem apparently being had - while I did nothing much except listen to music and surf the internet...

I dug out all my CDs of string quartets...

...and updated my list of composers by whom I have string quartet recordings - last collated in September 2006 at which point there were 45 - eight years later, the list runs to 141...

No, don't show us the list, I hear you cry...
