After some writing, surfing and usual nonsense, during which listening to new acquisitions continued, a relaxing breakfast at home to start the day...

...to the sound of the viol and lute music of John Dowland, written in the 1600's...

A call from my mum and an earlier than anticipated visit took place, leaving Anne working on the garden with some tough hedge trimming and some front step painting taking place - which resulted in a much tidier situation...

Meanwhile, out at Loanhead, some chat re recent reading intake - the library is a boon to this soon to be 84 year old lady...

After we had a look through some old photo albums from the period 1986 to 1993, mum made her lunch, while I recorded the situation...

She was accompanied by some tasty jazz...

Some of those in these treasured photos are gone...

The main view for my mum on a daily basis...

Back home and Anne's garden was recorded too...

I started another probably never going to be finished project to ensure all my CDs have been ripped as, sometime soon, I am going to have to start the inevitable decumulation via some selling medium or another as we head towards the equally inevitable grande adiós...

22 hours of music ripped in 3 hours - just 24 albums - a long laborious way to go...

Hence my prediction of eventual non completion and abandonment...

Meanwhile, a rogue leaf was also recorded...

Nothing much else to report, other than a tasty chicken based evening meal, an enjoyable programme on the trials and tribulations of orphaned by idiots in cars wallabies and koalas in Australia and sloths in Costa Rica and the crazy film "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"...

Late on, some Grand Funk ended the day...

Highlight of the Day : Noting how young we all used to look...
