...and the remainder of the podcast recorded, the full thing edited together and uploaded to both Podcast Machine (for downloading) and Mixcloud (for streaming)...

Breakfast in the garden...

Also acquiring new stuff via download...

By the end of the day, following on from Eno, Focus and Yes yesterday, Uriah Heep, Lana Del Ray, Sleepmakeswaves, The Samuel Jackson Five, Mogwai and Joseph Arthur's tribute to Lou Reed had all slunk their way onto the hard drive...

Also acquiring new stuff via the post...

Two classical discs, one by The Lindsays from 1993 recreating their programme for the Sheffield concert at which they premièred Sir Michael Tippett's fifth string quartet - which they themselves had commissioned - and a very tasty disc of 16th Century English music for viols...

Meanwhile, some tidying of shelves was undertaken and a huge pile of books awaits its fate...

Lunch in the garden...

Over to my mum's in the afternoon for chat and catch up....

On good form although, like me, foot problems encroaching on what passes for "normal" daily routines...

As for my own foot, it seemed to be a bit better today...

Good sun and clouds on the way home...

...where a selection of Anne's pics from her recent holiday were added here...

...Chinese food was enjoyed and football was watched, with Belgium outplayed by Argentina, finally going down 1-0, while outsiders Costa Rica seemed to be playing the entire game for a penalty shoot out, having scored all five against Greece in the last round...

They got their wish, only to see two of their five kicks saved while Holland scored all four they required - having hit the post and having hit the bar twice so, all in all, justice probably done...

So it's down to Germany v Brazil and Argentina v Holland...

By the time it got to lights out, the foot seemed definitely to be on the mend with the worst of the pain and swelling now gone...

Highlight of the Day : New new music...
