What time do you think I was up?  Yep, early...

Some tidying of last night's debris by the team...

Breakfast at home to the sounds of Yes...

Downloaded five concerts by The Bad Plus - from 2004, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 - will no doubt get round to listening to them all over time bur enjoyed 2009 this morning...

Out and over to Broughton Street...

..., leaving the car and through Fort St...

..testing out the new "walking" shoes - and noting I can actually see my feet...

...to the top of Leith Walk...

..and down its entire length...

...and back up the other side...

..stopping for coffee...

..at Serrano Manchego...

...a recommendation from Maureen last night...

...on as the weather turned a little colder...

...but still good looking back the way we'd come...

Home for a cous cous, bean and coriander sandwich...

The St Andrews Rose is getting rather tall in its old age...

Inside, I'd located all CDs requiring integration - for another time...

Out to my mum's...

Last night's shopping by brother-in-law Andrew had resulted in rather a lot of digestive biscuits entering the cupboard of biscuits...

Yes, that is indeed a kilogram of biscuits...

Home for a tasty, fiery tea from Annie...

...followed by the at last watching of a DVD lent to us by chum Lynn a couple of years ago - "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" - very enjoyable...

However, due to the modern day antics of cinema audiences in general, we will not be viewing the sequel, which was released on Friday, until it too is available on DVD...

Correspondence with Dr Prog trying to allay his fears re the new Yes album - I explained that, if you dump the three worst tracks, they have still made a very good 37 minute album - which is, of course, what they should have done instead of "padding with pap"...

At 8, the World Cup Final between Argentina and Germany - my head supported Argentina, as a victory for them would result in more winnings from my convoluted bets - my heart, of course, said Germany...

And Germany it was, with a brilliant goal in the second period of extra time, worthy of winning the tournament...

All in all, they were probably the best team in the competition...

Ended the day with some surfing and listening to an hour long track from the new CBQ project, which the Exec Producer still claims "is not music"...

It is not padded with pap (IMHO) - but, at over 15 hours, it may well be deemed "padded"...

To bed with Gentle Giant in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : A good walk...
