Up pre six and to the laptop for this week's playlist...

Finished by 7:50...

Breakfast at home before we packed the car and drove to pick up Lynn and head round to Alan and Penny's...

Here Brodski and Anne on the third floor...

For the drive down to Newcastle, Lynn was in the back seat...

Top down for a  wave...

...and off they went...

Later on Anne texted to advise they were arriving at the hotel on Majorca around 11 hours after we left the house this morning...

Brodski and I enjoyed a couple of coffees and a chat...

...before I headed home, posted up the podcast and prepped the living room for the arrival of another settee in a week or so...

...and listened to a new arrival from Ravi Shankar - just 5p plus £1.26 postage from Oxfam via Amazon - stupid prices but who am I to complain...

Some sweet potato based lunch...

...as I watched "Barbarella" - which has languished on the Tivo for a nearly three years - it's not very good to be honest...

Despite having various different things I might do, the afternoon was mostly spent updating stuff and pottering about doing nothing of any import...

Forgot to watch Argentina's game - they scraped through 1-0 with a goal in stoppage time against Iran - who were unlucky not to take anything from the game according to the highlifghts I saw later...

For dinner, some Quorn based chilli was cooked and enjoyed...

..as I watched the goalless first half of Germany v Ghana, before heading back upstairs and, amongst other things, singing a few songs on the old acoustic geetar - instead of going out and doing it in public...

...only to discover, on going back to the footie, that Germany had gone ahead and then Ghana had scored twice...

Of course the Germans brought on Klose and, with his first touch of the ball, he scored his record equalling 15th World Cup goal (and became one of just three players to have scored at four separate World Cups, the others being Pele and Uwe Seeler)...

It ended 2-2, probably a fair score...

Back to the computer to continue with the reuploading, for stream only, of the early 2014 Weekly Playlists...

And today was Rock T Shirt Day - so here you go...

On into the night...

Bosnia/Hercegovina v Nigeria - the Bosnians had a perfectly good goal chalked off for offside, while the Nigerian No 9, during the move which led to his assist for the only goal of the game, committed an unpunished fouled on a defender before making his cross...

Harsh...

Highlight of the Day : Coffees and chat with the Count...
