Another hot day as we approach the very middle of the year, light-wise...

More mucking about with the phone - now filled with my "Top 75" from 2012 to now...

In the evening, prep for Anne's trip to the Med tomorrow with Lynn and Penny and for this week's podcast which I'll record tomorrow morning...

"CSI" enjoyed and slagged at the same time..

In footie, Costa Rica beat Italy 1-0 causing much wailing and gnashing of teeth from BBC's Italy-top-wearing-until-Costa-Rica-scored Gary Lineker and from ITV's Adrian Chiles - as said result confirmed England's early exit - after just two games...

This was widely reported as their worst performance since 1958...

It seems to have been forgotten though, that they didn't even qualify for the final stages in 1974 (just 8 years after winning the competition), 1978 or 1994 - surely those performances were worse...

And I'd say they played better this time than they have since Italia '90 when they lost on penalties in the semi-final...

Not to worry - now they're out we can relax and enjoy the football - while still counting the unnecessary references to them at every turn...

Also enjoyed was the Graham Norton show with Mrs Brown (which I've never seen), Cheryl Cole, Don Johnson, John Bishop and Chrissie Hynde - who surely ought to have changed her wardrobe between 1979 and now?

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day :  Football...
