First thing, the Wings compilation was finalised...

In retrospect, I should probably have stopped around 1976 rather than going on to 1979 - the last three years being the point where sister Pam's love of McCartney overtook mine in the Reilly household...

An Alice Cooper Group collection was also added...

Out into a no bad day...

A new view of the cathedral...

Many buns, sweets and biscuits were eschewed in favour of tasty salad...

Home alone, as Anne was round at Jane and Bobby's tending to the kids while our in-laws galavanted...

On her return, I was to be found mucking about on the laptop, experimenting with new ways to store/upload the weekly podcasts/present the music of CBQ...

I then cooked a tasty oven dish, comprising shredded sweet potato, onion and tuna fish, this following on from the smoked mackerel and sweet potato fish cakes from the other night...

Another success...

Thursday staples "Big Bang Theory", "Brooklyn 99" (final episode of a great series), "Two Broke Girls" and "This Week" entertained...

As did the opening game of the World Cup, won 3-1 by Brazil against Croatia - a score correctly guessed by nephew Alastair, netting him £140 and the return of his £10 stake...

This outcome was even luckier than it looks on paper, as Brazil enjoyed a very dodgy, very almost saved penalty and scored their third in 92 minutes, after Croatia had had a goal chalked off in dubious circumstances...

Oh well, it's only a game...

And that's, generally, how things go when you play against the "big" teams, or am I just being paranoid...

Brazil were easily the better team over the piece but I don't really feel justice was done...

Football doesn't seem as exciting as it was in the days of Pele, Eusebio and George Best...

A few days ago, all the artwork on my iPod was wiped for some unknown reason...

It remains on my iTunes on the main system...

So this will need to be addressed in the fullness of time...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking...
