Touched by the bandaged hands of Cyrus...

Playlist
Various - Holiday Acquisitions

Up early after the weekend's experimental music shenanigans and checked out the hotel, leaving my bags behind (but carrying around the Velvets LP)...

Over to King's Cross / St Pancras just after nine and Oyster Cards purchased...

Tomorrow's departure checked...

Then, the Tube over to London Bridge - a twenty minute journey...

Out, past Southwark Cathedral...

..in the shadow of the Shard...

...and heading towards Tate Modern...

...past St Paul's on the other side of the river...

...and the Globe - Shakespeare's birthday tomorrow...

Weather not too bad...

The Tate beckoned...

I almost went the wrong way and ended up on the Millennium Bridge..

...corrected myself...

The beast was about to enter the world of Modern Art...

Nothing in the Turbine hall just now...

In and enjoying...

The famous bricks, purchased in 1972...

The cafeteria is an artwork, kind of...

The balcony afforded good views...

There seemed to be something blocking them though...

That's better...

Back inside...

Gerhard Richter x 6 - tasty...

..and on...

Picaso and schoolkids...

Herr Beuys...

Lookin' good...

No time to wait in the queue to see what the mad German had concealed inside these big wooden boxes...

On the way out, something in the Turbine Hall...

A home made art piece...

A seat and a look at my new LP...

In the shop, very expensive DVDs on the 1968 and 1972 Dokumentas...

Why must arty farty DVDs be so dear?

A walk all the way back to King's Cross...

The Shard in perspective...

It's quite high...

Waiting on the arrival..

...of the Exec Producer, to Executively Produce the remainder of the trip...

Coffee near Borough Market...

..before checking into rather more salubrious surroundings than had been enjoyed over the last three days by your correspondent...

Out for a walk along the South Bank...

Bubbles outside the Tate impressed with their unfeasible hugeness...

Onwards...

...past the London Eye...

...to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament...

...where some returning soldiers were being entertained...

They really ought to be paid more than MPs...

A nearby bar provided some handy respite...

...before we took a bus over to Liverpool Street...

... and walked towards the Tower...

Pre dinner drinks...

...before a further walk to Cyrus Todiwala's Café Spice Namasté...

...where we wined and dined on suberb Indian fayre and met the boss...

..the bandages due to a recent falling onto a grill scenario - owya!

On the way out, the Exec Producer pointed to many chefs whom she admires...

A walk home over London Bridge in the dark...

Another good day...

Highlight of the Day : Arrival of the Exec Producer
