Forty in seven...

Playlist
Various - Top 50 Albums
Various - Last 100 Acquisitions
The Bad Plus - Made Possible
Cheryl Cole - A Million Lights
Haydn - Complete String Quartets

The walking continues...

Over the last seven days I've managed over 40 miles - amazingly only one and a half less than the week before despite no trip to Brussels and hours and hours of walking round a European city...

This is, however, a daunting target on a weekly basis...

A walk to Fopp was soundtracked by the latest Cheryl Cole album, which starts very well indeed but becomes more and more annoying and disappointing as it progresses...

Despite her fame (and success) now far outstripping that of her Girls Aloud band mates, letting her own taste determine the content of her LP leaves it miles behind the output of the quintet...

I considered a box set of Haydn String Quartets...

Forgetting of course that I already have one...

Anyway, the Bad Plus raised the bar...

The majority of their new LP was aired during the second of their gigs at the Edinburgh Jazz festival back in August...

Excellent stuff and no doubt a high entry into my top 50 albums come the weekend...

Since I've been shuffling them in the cans this last week, I might as well list here what they currently are...

Basic criteria for entry are (a) good (in my opinion), (b) studio albums (no compilations or live albums) and (c) released since 2010...

...with apologies, of course, for two of my own albums being in there but I, as you might imagine, quite like them...

Tonight, back to Football Fans in Training at Tynecastle and some boxercising (including against old school and music buddy Dave McLaren) and walking about and chatting about footie with ex-Hearts player Jimmy Sandeson and comparing ideas on exercising and eating and drinking...

All in all another enjoyable session and progress is being made...

Back home, telly, Haydn and bed...

Highlight of the Day : Making progress...
