Bruxelles three and home...

Playlist
Laura Pausini - Primavera in Anticipo
Udo Lindenberg - Stark Wie Zwei
John Cage - Complete Piano Music

Another not great night - but forgotten when we saw the sun was out and the sky was blue...

Out...

Two minutes to Brussels' most famous statue...

..and then back into the Grand Place to take some pics with a blue background...

Missed this yesterday...

A plane made its way across the sky for the second day running...

Back to the arcade/mall...

Chocolate time...

Past the restaurant street for tourists...

Surrealism again...

Breakfast - better than yesterday...

A small cat was in the room...

Just visible in this...

Tasty...

The mall was filling up as we left...

Past the bar from yesterday afternoon...

More sky blue sky background recreations of yesterday's recorded sights...

...and a different route up to the Kunstberg...

Once again, past the Magritte Museum...

...to the main square...

...past the palace...

...over the very wide street...

...through the park...

Goose still present - today on top of a large surrealist Brussels Sprout...

Cubs played football...

...with sprouts and mussels for goalposts...

Then a walk through the modern European Union Sector towards the big Belgian monument at the far end of the avenue...

Took a goodly while to get there...

This is how they spend our taxes...

Looking back from whence we came...

Mr Schuman and the monument...

Nearly there...

It's quite big...

Target reached...

...after a bit of a trek...

Under...

...and out the other side...

Not raining today...

Having walked enough for now, down into the subway to get back...

..to St Catherine's. where we were last night...

Plush shopping opportunities were ignored...

...despite strange marketing attempts...

Sadly, Le Coq was closed...

Back through Grand Place...

...to find Tin Tin, Snowy and Captain Haddock on a wall...

A quick plain waffle for lunch...

...followed by more of my now favourite Belgian beer...

...at this place opposite the small boy doing what small boys do...

More walking, this time up the hill to the justice centre...

The hill afforded good views of the city...

Late afternoon and time for our anniversary tea...

Tasty...

Out past some art...

..and goodbye to the Bourse...

A long walk to the station...

...for the bus back to the airport...

No hitches...

Take off...

Landing...

..and home to Meg the Black Cat...

...with some John Cage listening on the agenda for the next few days...

A good wee holiday...

Highlight of the Day : Leisurely breakfasting in Brussels...
